CATaxTools publishes educational tax calculators, provincial tax references, and explanatory articles for Canadian taxpayers. Content is written for general informational use and does not replace individualized tax advice.

Source hierarchy

• Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) publications, forms, guides, and tax-tip updates.
• Department of Finance Canada budgets and legislative announcements.
• Official provincial and territorial revenue and finance agency materials.
• Statistics Canada indexation figures and enacted legislation when thresholds or rules change.

Calculator maintenance

• Tax rates, thresholds, and formulas are encoded in site source files and reviewed when official numbers change.
• Time-sensitive pages display the tax year or update window they cover.
• Major assumptions are summarized on the page and linked to source material where practical.

Content updates and corrections

We revise pages when official tax brackets, contribution limits, benefit amounts, deadlines, or CRA administrative guidance change. If a factual issue is reported, we review the underlying source and update the page when needed.

Rankings, calculator outputs, and article conclusions are based on our reading of official materials and published assumptions, not sponsored placements or advertiser input.
